Our recent renovation in a historic Putney mansion block celebrates how thoughtful design can completely transform a space without losing its original charm. The property had great bones, but it needed a full rewire, new plumbing and restoration as it had been untouched for many years.

By converting one of the living rooms into a kitchen, we were able to create a practical four-bedroom home giving our clients the much needed extra bedroom for their family.

The new kitchen blends effortlessly with the building’s Victorian heritage, built in real wood with a layout that works hard without compromising on all the kitchen essentials. Around it, we used a mix of vintage furniture and tiles to bring warmth and character back into the flat, pieces that make the space feel lived-in and comfortable.

This project shows that with good planning and design combined with sourcing vintage pieces, even modest budgets can deliver spaces that feel considered and beautifully lived-in.
